Health And Safety Policy Statement : Health And Safety At Work Act 1974
This is the Health and Safety Policy Statement of Dafydd Lloyd
1. It is our policy that this Company's operations shall be conducted in such a way as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practical, the health, safety and welfare of all its employees by adequate control of the Health and Safety risks arising from our work activities and that its activities will not affect the health and safety of others.
2. Whilst working in occupied premises we will consult with our clients, advise of our work activities and ensure that those activities do not compromise our client’s health and safety policy or cause risk to their employees or visitors.
3. The Company requires high standards of safety, health and welfare, this shall be achieved and maintained at all its sites.
4. The Company shall provide, where required, for its work activities and maintain, safe plant and equipment and work systems suitable for the activity.
5. The Company shall ensure those materials and substances used in our work activities are safely handled and used in a safe manner.
6. The Company shall provide the relevant health and safety training, instruction and supervision so that employees shall be capable and competent to complete their work tasks.
7. The Company shall instigate such measures it considers appropriate to prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health.
8. The Company shall maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment.
9. The Company shall, prior to commencing work, actively consult with employees on all matters concerning health and safety. Employee participation relating to health and safety will be encouraged and they will be afforded by the opportunity to discuss health and safety issues with management or the visiting site safety advisor. No safety policy can function properly without the support and co-operation of all its employees. The Company reminds its employees that they have a legal duty, not only to work in a safe manner, but also to co-operate in efforts to create a safe and healthy working environment.
10. The Safety Policy will be reviewed and monitored in order to meet the current legal requirements, new safety legislation, codes of practice and improved working practices. Where these have an implication upon the Company's work activities then changes will be made to the policy to ensure that the policy continues to reflect best working practices. This policy and subsequent revisions will be brought to the attention of all employees in compliance with Company procedures.
